Una Gair
Una Gair supports adults and emerging adults navigating trauma, grief, relationship concerns, feeling stuck, and patterns that no longer serve them. Working from a humanistic, systems-based perspective, she considers each client’s history, identity, relationships, and wider context, then adapts practical tools to what fits. Her background in federal public safety gives her a grounded understanding of cumulative stress and moral injury. Una is warm, compassionate, direct, and straightforward, with room for humour when it feels right. She helps clients speak honestly, make sense of recurring patterns, and find more purposeful ways forward while offering a steady place to unburden and feel genuinely known.
- How being an immigrant, speaking English as my fourth language, and being a stepparent have shaped my understanding of belonging, identity, and the complexities of family relationships.
- The experiences of people whose lives and circumstances don’t fit neatly into a box, informed by much of my career working in corrections and public safety.
- How difficult it can be to talk openly about shame, regret, conflicting feelings, or parts of yourself you worry others may judge.
- The importance of being able to be real with someone, with room for warmth and humour alongside the more serious parts of life.

Booking FAQ
First Session charges each session directly to your credit card. Once each session occurs, and your card is charged, you will receive a PDF receipt to your email with all of the details you will need to get reimbursed (therapist name, license/designation, license number, address, etc). You can then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage.
We always recommend you check with your insurance provider to confirm what coverage you have.
