Tarni Kaur
Tarni Kaur is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who supports clients in navigating life’s challenges with curiosity, openness, and authenticity. She believes that therapy is a collaborative journey where validation and challenge work together to foster growth. Approaching each person with humility, she values creating a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients feel safe to be themselves. Clients can expect warmth, guidance, and a balance of encouragement and thoughtful challenge in sessions. She has a special interest in helping individuals tap into their inner resilience and strengthen their ability to thrive. Tarni invites clients to see therapy as an opportunity to move toward living fully rather than just surviving.
- What it means to move through the world with awareness and care, while quietly navigating your own emotional load.
- The nuances of code-switching, cultural expectations, and the tension between self-expression and self-protection, informed by my background as a South Asian therapist with experience in education and mental health across diverse communities.
- How to bring an attuned, culturally sensitive lens into the therapy room—listening closely to both what’s said and what’s held back.
- The lived realities of racialized, neurodivergent, and immigrant clients who carry many roles and are ready to reconnect with their own.
- A therapeutic approach that honours all parts of you.
- A tapestry of my South Asian roots with a global upbringing, shaped by years of living across Southeast Asia and North America.
- Informed by lived experiences that foster a deep respect for the layered realities of navigating bicultural identity, belonging, and change.
- Reflected in the culturally aware lens I bring to therapy, especially for clients who carry similar complexities in how they relate to family, self, and the world.
- Enriched by my ability to provide therapy in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, with intermediate fluency in Urdu—supporting clients in expressing themselves in the language that feels most natural to them.

Booking FAQ
First Session charges each session directly to your credit card. Once each session occurs, and your card is charged, you will receive a PDF receipt to your email with all of the details you will need to get reimbursed (therapist name, license/designation, license number, address, etc). You can then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement.
You are the expert when it comes to knowing who is the right fit. Ensure you’ve watched the therapist video at the top of their profile and see if you get a good feeling from the message and the energy they are putting out. If you feel drawn to speak with them, listen to your gut! Booking a free consultation is a great first step to asses fit.
