Meet Tanya

Tanya Gabrielle is a Canadian Clinical Counsellor (Provisional) who helps clients build a stronger relationship with themselves as a foundation for lasting growth and healing. Drawing from her own experiences with trauma, divorce, single parenthood, and major life transitions, she understands how challenging it can be to navigate change and uncertainty. Tanya takes a humanistic, empowerment-focused approach, helping clients develop the tools, self-awareness, and confidence needed to move toward meaningful goals. She supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, nervous system dysregulation, and relationship challenges, while creating a safe and compassionate space for exploration. Tanya believes therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about fostering self-understanding, emotional safety, and a more fulfilling connection with yourself and others.

My experiences and interests give me a unique understanding of…
  • The importance of finding a therapist who feels relatable, safe, authentic, and non-judgmental, while creating a grounded space where clients can show up authentically without fear of judgment.
  • Navigating challenges related to mental health, entrepreneurship, complex trauma, motherhood, divorce, abuse, major life transitions, and the complexities of human relationships.
  • Supporting individuals who identify as neurodivergent, highly sensitive, or emotionally overwhelmed, including those navigating burnout, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or periods of feeling emotionally stuck.
  • The ways culture, identity, and social expectations can shape emotional experiences and access to support, while helping clients feel more seen, heard, understood, and less alone in the therapeutic process.
My cultural or ancestral background is…
My clients describe me using words like…
  • Grounded, compassionate, authentic, insightful, non-judgmental, and relatable.
  • A thoughtful listener with the ability to offer meaningful perspective while helping clients feel seen, heard, understood, and supported.
  • Someone who brings humour, warmth, and a safe, genuine human connection into the therapeutic space.

Booking FAQ

Does Tanya offer direct billing with my insurance? Or how does payment work?

First Session charges each session directly to your credit card. Once each session occurs, and your card is charged, you will receive a PDF receipt to your email with all of the details you will need to get reimbursed (therapist name, license/designation, license number, address, etc). You can then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage.

We always recommend you check with your insurance provider to confirm what coverage you have.

How do I know if Tanya is a good fit?

You are the expert when it comes to knowing who is the right fit. Ensure you’ve watched the therapist video at the top of their profile and see if you get a good feeling from the message and the energy they are putting out. If you feel drawn to speak with them, listen to your gut! Booking a free consultation is a great first step to asses fit.
