Nicolai Carp
Nicolai Carp is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who focuses on men’s mental health, creating a safe and confidential space for men who may feel they have no one to turn to. Drawing from his own experiences with anxiety, depression, anger, and the pressure men often face to bury their emotions, Nicolai understands how difficult it can be to ask for support. His approach is warm, collaborative, practical, and solution-focused, helping clients create goals, develop strategies, and better understand what may be missing in their lives. With a background in social work, personal training, and counselling psychology, he brings a holistic lens to mental and physical well-being. Nicolai’s goal is to help men feel supported, build trust, and move toward becoming the best version of themselves.
- The connection between mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, drawing from my background in social work, counselling, fitness, and personal development.
- How stress, confidence, discipline, relationships, and emotional health influence one another rather than existing as separate challenges.
- The unique pressures many men experience, including the expectation to push through difficulties, stay composed, and carry emotional burdens quietly.
- The hesitation many people feel when beginning therapy, especially if they are not accustomed to talking openly about their thoughts, emotions, or personal struggles.
- Creating a supportive, practical, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable exploring challenges at their own pace.
- Romanian and a first-generation immigrant to Canada.
- That experience has shaped my understanding of resilience, adaptation, family expectations, and the pressure many people feel to stay strong or figure things out on their own. It also helps me appreciate how culture and upbringing can impact the way people understand mental health, vulnerability, and support. In my work, I try to stay curious and respectful of each client’s unique background and lived experience.

Booking FAQ
First Session charges each session directly to your credit card. Once each session occurs, and your card is charged, you will receive a PDF receipt to your email with all of the details you will need to get reimbursed (therapist name, license/designation, license number, address, etc). You can then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage.
We always recommend you check with your insurance provider to confirm what coverage you have.
You are the expert when it comes to knowing who is the right fit. Ensure you’ve watched the therapist video at the top of their profile and see if you get a good feeling from the message and the energy they are putting out. If you feel drawn to speak with them, listen to your gut! Booking a free consultation is a great first step to asses fit.
