Maria Legault
Maria Legault is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who offers a warm, conversational, and steady space grounded in an integrative, psychodynamic approach. She believes therapy is built on gently earned trust, where empathy, validation, and curiosity help clients understand themselves beyond surface thoughts. Having come to this work in midlife and navigated her own journey with perfectionism and self-compassion, Maria brings lived experience and authenticity to her role. Clients can expect a supportive environment that holds honesty, humor, emotion, and growth with care. She has a special interest in blending psychodynamic and humanistic approaches to help clients reconnect with their strengths and desires. Maria warmly invites you to take the first step and explore whether the therapeutic relationship feels right for you.
- Finding my way to psychotherapy through the bumpy road of life.
- Knowing firsthand that healing is possible.
- Living for years with a constant sense of not being good enough.
- Being driven by cycles of perfectionistic self-improvement.
- Making choices shaped by trauma, shame, self-doubt, and a harsh inner critic.
- Learning to recognize when I was living out of fear instead of authenticity.
- Reaching a turning point where I grew tired of playing small and chose a different path.
