Gwyneth Hodgins
Gwyneth is a compassionate and non-judgmental therapist. She especially likes working with teens and young adults on issues around identity, self-esteem, stress, and relationships. Going to therapy can be scary, but Gwyneth tells her clients to focus on one part of their life first, rather than trying to tackle everything all at once. She is there to create a safe space, to listen to them, and provide support. When not at work, Gwyneth likes doing yoga and spending time with her dog.
The ways we adapt to our childhood environments in order to get our needs met, which can look like:
- Perfectionism and people pleasing
- Responsibility and self-sufficiency at a young age
- Emotion avoidance and difficulty accessing emotion
- Difficulty asserting boundaries and conflict avoidance
- British. As the descendant of white settlers on this land, I prioritize ongoing learning and growth in how I embody reconciliation and an anti-oppressive approach to therapy. I won't always get it right, but you can expect me to take accountability and do better when I get it wrong.

- Uncomfortable at times, as we touch on themes or memories that are painful. We will collaborate to make sure we're working at the edges of your comfort zone (that's where real change happens!) but not beyond it.

You are the expert when it comes to knowing who is the right fit. Ensure you’ve watched the therapist video at the top of their profile and see if you get a good feeling from the message and the energy they are putting out. If you feel drawn to speak with them, listen to your gut! Booking a free consultation is a great first step to asses fit.
