Kim Dawson
Kim Dawson is a Licensed Psychologist who takes an open and relational approach to therapy, centering your lived experience rather than labels or diagnoses. He believes healing begins with a deep understanding of your story, your needs, and your inner world. Drawn to this work by a passion for helping others integrate the parts of themselves that feel fragmented, Kim creates space for reflection, growth, and real change. In sessions, clients can expect a thoughtful and collaborative process, with take-home strategies and a focus on what matters most to them. He has a special interest in supporting those navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and relational struggles, often incorporating mindfulness and meditation practices into his work. If you're looking for a space where you’ll be truly heard and supported, Kim invites you to begin that journey together.
- What it’s like to feel completely overwhelmed, to the point of being unable to function, and the slow, often surprising process of rediscovering inner harmony.
- Feeling disconnected and alienated in a relationship, and the tender work of finding emotional attunement again.
- Grieving so deeply that life seemed meaningless, and then, gradually, uncovering the meaning that had been there all along.
- Being paralyzed by fear and panic, and learning that reaching out can be the first step toward realizing I’m not alone, and that I will be okay.
- The healing presence of nature and animals, and how essential they are in grounding and restoring us.
- How suffering, while painful, can carry wisdom, not by clinging to who we once were, but by taking the risk of letting go.
- The paradox of how losing touch with ourselves opens the door to understanding our deeper, truer selves.
- How even the fear of loss is often rooted in how much we care, how full and meaningful life can truly be.

Therapeutic Frameworks & Approach
Though I can’t actually make you feel anything or think any differently, I will offer you the opportunity to contemplate your own deep nature.
- Who are you? Why are you here? What has led you to where you are today? What have you learned? Where are you going? I look forward to discussing these questions with you. They point to the essence of your life and the values you stand for.

Psychedelic Therapy
An early experience of finding sanctuary in chaos. As a child, a noisy house transformed into a quiet place of sanctuary. From this, I learned that life could be filled with angry voices at the same time as it held great potential for peace. I am grateful to my dad for inviting me to learn Transcendental Meditation when I was 12 years old. Since then, I have been drawn to a wide range of psychospiritual practices that have inspired surprising personal growth and deepening connection with nature through plants and animals that open the mind well beyond what we assume this life to be.
