Meet Nikki
I feel most confident working with supervisees who…
Are comfortable sharing their struggles and willing to take constructive feedback.
I like a collaborative style where we both share responsibility for case conceptualization and planning and I encourage mutual problem-solving. For those that are newer to their role as psychotherapist I provide a more directive style and take on more of a teaching role giving clear instruction and correction.
I stay energized and engaged in my therapy practice by…
Making sure I have a good balance between life and work and maintaining my own self-care routine. I preach what I practice my clients.

My supervision approach and style can be described as…
Collaborative and supportive.
I approach supervision from several different lenses, the models I believe are most effective is an integrative approach that uses developmental theory allowing me to adjust my support according to the supervises level, a reflective practice that encourages self-awareness, emotional processing and parallel process examination.
I also believe that in psychodynamic supervision that explores transference/countertransference, unconscious processes and supervises emotional reactions.
