Alaleh Shakourianfard is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She received her Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2016, and Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University in 2013.
In her practice, she supports individuals that are experiencing difficult life situations and transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, and traumatic life experiences. Alaleh takes a client-centered, eclectic, collaborative and integrative approach to her work, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
She works with her clients both virtually and in person, based out of Burlington, Ontario. In her downtime, Alaleh enjoys spending time with her husband, going on long hikes and walks, cuddling her cat, and as a new mother, exploring life with her baby daughter.
