Sunaina Dahiya
Sunaina Dahiya is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) supporting young adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, substance use, relationship concerns, everyday stress, and work-life balance. As a first-generation immigrant and woman of colour, she brings personal understanding of identity shifts, rebuilding a sense of home, and how difficult reaching out can feel. Sunaina tailors therapy to each client, drawing from different approaches rather than asking people to fit one model. Her culturally sensitive, collaborative style centres safety, honesty, consistency, and curiosity. She helps clients understand patterns, work through shame and avoidance, and move toward greater clarity and fulfilment at a pace that fits their needs.
- Navigating transitions in culture, place, and identity, and how these shifts can shape our sense of belonging and self.
- Having also witnessed mental health challenges within my own family, I have a personal understanding of how these experiences can affect both individuals and their loved ones. These perspectives inform my compassionate, culturally responsive, and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
- South Asian, with Indian heritage.
- My cultural background has shaped my understanding of family, community, cultural expectations, and the experience of navigating multiple identities and ways of belonging.

Booking FAQ
First Session charges each session directly to your credit card. Once each session occurs, and your card is charged, you will receive a PDF receipt to your email with all of the details you will need to get reimbursed (therapist name, license/designation, license number, address, etc). You can then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage.
We always recommend you check with your insurance provider to confirm what coverage you have.
You are the expert when it comes to knowing who is the right fit. Ensure you’ve watched the therapist video at the top of their profile and see if you get a good feeling from the message and the energy they are putting out. If you feel drawn to speak with them, listen to your gut! Booking a free consultation is a great first step to asses fit.
