Meet Sharon

Sharon Singh is a Registered Social Worker who takes a somatic, trauma-informed approach, helping clients understand how life experiences impact both the body and nervous system. She believes therapy should move at the client’s pace, creating space for curiosity, safety, and connection without pressure or judgment. Drawing from her lived experiences with trauma, ADHD, racial trauma, and her own therapy journey, she brings empathy and authenticity to her work. Clients can expect a collaborative environment that may include EMDR, somatic exercises, humor, and gentle exploration of emotional experiences. She has a special interest in trauma healing and supporting clients in understanding the roots of anxiety, overwhelm, and self-worth struggles. Sharon invites you to show up however feels comfortable and explore healing one step at a time.

My experiences and interests give me a unique understanding of…
  • The way trauma impacts the mind, body and everyday life.
  • The connections between trauma and autoimmune issues, perimenopause, PMS/PMDD, chronic pain and other health challenges.
  • The importance of self-awareness, rest and safety to create space for healing.
  • The experiences of first generation Canadian and BIPOC folks who have experienced racial trauma and/or navigating feelings of belonging and self-worth.
  • The effect of capitalism and other power structures on marginalized individuals and communities – practicing from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist lens.
  • Navigating ADHD in school, work, parenting and at home.
My cultural or ancestral background is…
  • South Asian, Punjabi
My clients describe me using words like…
  • Empathetic
  • Supportive
  • Attentive
  • Collaborative
  • Curious
  • Humorous

Booking FAQ

Does Sharon offer direct billing with my insurance? Or how does payment work?

First Session charges each session directly to your credit card. Once each session occurs, and your card is charged, you will receive a PDF receipt to your email with all of the details you will need to get reimbursed (therapist name, license/designation, license number, address, etc). You can then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage.

We always recommend you check with your insurance provider to confirm what coverage you have.

How do I know if Sharon is a good fit?

You are the expert when it comes to knowing who is the right fit. Ensure you’ve watched the therapist video at the top of their profile and see if you get a good feeling from the message and the energy they are putting out. If you feel drawn to speak with them, listen to your gut! Booking a free consultation is a great first step to asses fit.
