Meet Sandra

My experiences and interests give me a unique understanding of…
  • My own healing journey along with my education, clinical experiences, and therapeutic interests have given me a deeper understanding of how our past experiences, relationships, and unmet emotional needs can shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others.

  • I’m particularly interested in helping people understand patterns such as people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, difficulty setting boundaries, fear of rejection, and feeling responsible for others’ emotions. I approach these patterns with curiosity and compassion, recognizing that many began as ways of coping or protecting ourselves.

  • I believe meaningful change begins when we can understand our experiences without judgment and learn new ways of responding to ourselves and others.

My cultural or ancestral background is…
  • Egyptian and Middle Eastern; my background informs my appreciation for the ways culture, family expectations, and community values can shape our identities, relationships, and emotional experiences. I value creating a space where clients can explore the influence of their cultural backgrounds while making room for their individual needs, values, and sense of self.

My clients describe me using words like…
  • Warm and compassionate

  • Nonjudgmental

  • Empathetic

  • Thoughtful

  • Understanding

  • Culturally sensitive

  • Supportive

  • Insightful

  • Collaborative

  • Grounded and practical

My clients often self-identify as…
  • Adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, life transitions, stress, or burnout.

  • Thoughtful and self-aware individuals who may understand their patterns intellectually but still struggle to change them.

  • People who find themselves people-pleasing, putting others’ needs first, struggling with boundaries, or feeling disconnected from their own needs and emotions.

  • I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and those navigating family expectations, identity, and relationship dynamics.

I’m the right therapist for you if…
  • You want to understand yourself more deeply rather than simply manage symptoms.

  • You find yourself repeating patterns in relationships, struggling with anxiety or overwhelming emotions, putting others’ needs before your own, or having difficulty setting boundaries. Perhaps you understand why you respond the way you do, but changing those patterns feels harder than expected.

  • You want a space where you can explore your experiences without judgment, understand how your past has shaped your present, and develop practical tools to create meaningful change. Together, we can work toward greater self-trust, emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and a stronger connection to your own needs and values.

During your free consultation, we’ll go over…
  • What has brought you to therapy, what you hope to work toward, and what you are looking for in a therapist

  • Any questions you may have about my approach, experience, and how I work with concerns similar to yours.

  • Whether my approach feels like a good fit for your needs and goals. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with during this initial conversation; the goal is to help you feel informed and comfortable deciding on your next steps.

If we work together you can expect me to…
  • Work collaboratively with you to understand the experiences, beliefs, and relational patterns that may be contributing to your current struggles. Rather than viewing your responses as flaws, we will explore what they may have helped you cope with and identify what you need moving forward.

  • Work with you to explore your past experiences and attachment patterns, developing a better understanding of your emotions, strengthening boundaries, practicing practical coping skills, and learning new ways of relating to yourself and others.

  • Draw on trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and evidence-based approaches to support both deeper self-understanding and meaningful change.

  • Respect your pace, values, and goals while helping you move toward a more fulfilling and connected life.

Booking FAQ

Does Sandra offer direct billing with my insurance? Or how does payment work?

First Session charges each session directly to your credit card. Once each session occurs and your card is charged, you’ll receive a PDF receipt by email with all the details you need to get reimbursed (therapist name, designation, license number, address, etc.). You can then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage. We always recommend checking your coverage with your provider before booking.

How do I know if Sandra is a good fit?

You are the expert when it comes to knowing who’s the right fit. Watch the therapist’s video at the top of their profile and see whether the message and energy resonate. If you feel drawn to speak with them, listen to your gut — booking a free consultation is a great first step to assess fit.

What if I see no available times to book a session?

If the therapist is listed as accepting clients and you see no available times, it’s likely they haven’t updated their availability (sorry about that!). In this case, you can to see what times they have available.
