Kristin Michie
Kristin Michie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who takes an integrative approach, tailoring each session to meet her clients’ unique needs. She believes therapy is not about “fixing” anyone but about creating a safe, trusting space to explore patterns, build awareness, and support meaningful change. Drawing from her own lived experiences with anxiety and depression, Kristin brings empathy, authenticity, and understanding to her work. Clients often leave sessions with greater clarity, self-acceptance, and tools to move forward with confidence. She has a special interest in helping individuals explore the roots of their patterns through a psychodynamic lens while staying focused on present-day growth. Kristin invites you to reach out and take the first step toward feeling seen, supported, and empowered.
- What it actually feels like to be high-functioning on the outside while mentally exhausted on the inside. This means the overthinking, the second-guessing, the sense that you should be handling things better than you are.
- The weight of a non-linear life path that include career pivots, competing demands, the pressure of figuring things out later than expected, and how that shapes the way anxiety shows up in mid-life.
- Northern European, third-generation Canadian, and shaped by a culture that tends to reward stoicism and self-sufficiency, which I've found is often exactly what makes it hard for people to ask for help in the first place.

Areas of Focus
- High-functioning adults who are managing well on the outside but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or quietly exhausted on the inside. Many are navigating a significant life transition, whether it is a career shift, relationship change, identity question, or the pressure of mid-life when competing demands feel impossible to balance.
- They've often tried to think their way through it, or white-knuckle past it, and are ready to understand what's driving it.
- You're functioning. The work is getting done, relationships are intact, but the mental noise is constant. The loops, the second-guessing, the what-ifs and decisions that won't quit.
- You've probably tried to manage it on your own, and you're good at it, until you're not. If you're ready to understand what's actually maintaining your anxiety rather than just managing the symptoms, we'll work well together.

Booking FAQ
First Session charges each session directly to your credit card. Once each session occurs, and your card is charged, you will receive a PDF receipt to your email with all of the details you will need to get reimbursed (therapist name, license/designation, license number, address, etc). You can then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage.
We always recommend you check with your insurance provider to confirm what coverage you have.
You are the expert when it comes to knowing who is the right fit. Ensure you’ve watched the therapist video at the top of their profile and see if you get a good feeling from the message and the energy they are putting out. If you feel drawn to speak with them, listen to your gut! Booking a free consultation is a great first step to asses fit.
