Meet Joshua

Joshua Abercrombie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who supports men, husbands, dads, neurodivergent clients, autistic clients, and youth navigating relationships, identity, faith, and emotional challenges. With seven years of experience as a teacher, he brings a grounded understanding of young people and the role supportive relationships can play at home and school. Joshua’s work is rooted in the belief that every person has value, and he offers clients a space where they can be honest without fear of judgment. For clients who want faith included in therapy, he is able to integrate a Christian perspective, supporting those working through spiritual abuse, distance from faith, or questions they need space to explore.

My experiences and interests give me a unique understanding of…
  • Men who feel pressure to stay strong while carrying stress, anxiety, or emotional pain.
  • People who want to integrate their Christian faith with their mental health journey.
  • Individuals with ADHD or Autism who want practical strategies while embracing their unique strengths.
  • Youth and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
  • Addiction and recovery, and the impact addiction has on individuals and families.
  • Marriage, relationships, separation, and rebuilding trust.
  • Parenting and supporting families through challenging seasons.
  • Living with disability and advocating for dignity, belonging, and hope.
  • Cross-cultural experiences, identity, and finding purpose through life's challenges.

Booking FAQ

Does Joshua offer direct billing with my insurance? Or how does payment work?

First Session charges each session directly to your credit card. Once each session occurs, and your card is charged, you will receive a PDF receipt to your email with all of the details you will need to get reimbursed (therapist name, license/designation, license number, address, etc). You can then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage.

We always recommend you check with your insurance provider to confirm what coverage you have.

How do I know if Joshua is a good fit?

You are the expert when it comes to knowing who is the right fit. Ensure you’ve watched the therapist video at the top of their profile and see if you get a good feeling from the message and the energy they are putting out. If you feel drawn to speak with them, listen to your gut! Booking a free consultation is a great first step to asses fit.
